Hello Brothers,

Welcome to the future! This is 2016….. where’s the flying cars?

Worshipful Master Charles Moutoux has scheduled a Fellow Craft Degree for this Wednesday, January 6th at 7pm. The degree will be performed by the Royal Arch Masons. If you aren’t a member of The Royal Arch you get a chance to ask the Companions all about it. Officers wear your Tuxedos if you aren’t a member of Royal Arch, if you are, then dust off your red coat and come on down.

Also, next Wednesday, January 13th is our Business Meeting at 7pm, dinner at 6pm. This will be our first meeting with our new Worshipful Master, we have lots to go over and plan for. Bring a fellow Brother and enjoy the meeting together, then stay for coffee and cards afterwards.

November 2015 Weekly Updates

Happy “warm November” Brothers!

You have to love this late fall weather we are having, a lot of work can still be done in the yards and garages. Makes for a happy start to Winter 🙂

On the roster for Wednesday, November 18th we are starting Temple Board at 4:30pm. This is due to a schedule conflict and will not affect other months, just this meeting only. Fellowship afterward so dont run off early.

Next Wednesday, November 25th we are having Fellowship from 6pm until the coffee or euchre dollars are gone. Come on down and relax with the Brothers the day before Thanksgiving.

I hope everyone takes advantage of this great gift from Mother Nature and enjoys these warm days safely.

Due to schedule conflicts, Temple Board Meeting for Wednesday, November 18th will be held at 4:30pm. This will a one time change for next week and we will go back to the normal time next month.

Monroe November 2015 Updates

Hello Brothers,

This week at Monroe, Wednesday, November 11th at 7pm is our Business Meeting. Dinner will be at 6pm. Come on down, bring a Brother with you and enjoy dinner, companionship and fellowship after the meeting.

Next week Wednesday, November 18th at 6pm we will have a Temple Board Meeting.

Wednesday, November 25th we will have fellowship. Come on down and have some coffee, play a little euchre and kickstart the holiday season with the Brothers.

We have a full schedule planned for December so mark your calendars with these dates:

Wednesday, December 9th Business Meeting 7pm /Dinner 6pm
Friday, December 11th Lodge Christmas Party 6pm / Santa arrives close to 7pm
Saturday, December 12th Lodge Installation 6pm / Dinner to follow Installation
Wednesday, December 16th Fellow Craft Degree 7pm

I’m not gone yet Brothers, but my time is running short. It’s been a great year in the East and for Monroe Lodge. I’m looking forward to finishing up on a high note.

Monroe Updates November 2015

Hello Brothers,

Welcome to Indian Summer! I hope everyone is taking advantage of this nice warm week we are going to have. Last chance to soak up some warm sunshine before that dreaded “W” word sets in.

This week at Monroe we are performing an Entered Apprentice Degree on Wednesday, November 4th starting at 7pm. We have 1 candidate, so we will take our time and give this gentleman our best degree work possible. Officers, wear tuxedos and brush up on all your lines. I’ll schedule the Fellowcraft degree following the EA degree and will keep everyone notified.

October 2015 Weekly Update

Good Morning Brothers,

I waited a day to send out the update so that we can have a more clear look at the weather this week. Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28th from 6pm – 8pm is Trunk or Treat at Monroe Lodge. We may have a small window around that time when the rain should let up, if we do then we will definitely have our fun decorating cars and passing out candy to the little monsters and goblins that show up. However, if its raining cats and dogs we will hold off on the festivity. Looking forward to that window of opportunity and enjoying trunk or treat with the Brothers.

Next Wednesday, November 4th at 7pm we are performing an Entered Apprentice degree. Officers wear your tuxedos and study that book well. Let’s give our newest member our best ritual!

October 2015 Monday Updates

Hello Brothers,

Seems like in a blink of an eye the year will be over, but we are not going to end it quietly. There’s a lot on the schedule. Very excited about it all.

This week at Monroe we are having our Awards Night Ceremony. Wednesday, October 21, at 6pm dinner will start in celebration of all the Brothers who have reached a milestone in Masonry. The ceremony will start around 7pm after dinner concludes. Officers wear your tuxedos.

Wednesday, October 28th from 6pm – 8pm we will host Trunk or Treat in the Monroe Lodge parking lot. Bring as many cars as you can, decorate them up and pass out candy to all the little ones that show up for a great night of fun. Wear your favorite costume as well. Invite all your friends, family and neighbors to share in this great tradition.

Wednesday, November 4th at 7pm we are doing an Entered Apprentice Degree. Officers wear your tuxedos and brush up on your degree work. Everybody, grab a Brother and bring him down to help celebrate the Initiation of 2 new candidates into Masonry. This is an exciting time for them as well as for us, let’s make it memorable.

Wednesday, November 11th at 7pm is our Regular Communication.

Monday Updates October 2015

Hello Brothers,

Hope everyone is having a great hunting season so far. This week at Monroe we are having our Annual Wild Game Dinner/ Camo Night! Dinner is at 6pm Wednesday, October 14th, bring in your best wild game dish to share and if you dont have a dinner dish please bring a dessert to top off these great meals we are about to eat.

Also this Wednesday, October 14th at 7pm is our Business Meeting. The Yankee Candle Fundraiser packets need to be turned in and we will go over lots of other exciting events coming up.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, October 28th from 6pm-8pm we will have Trunk-or-Treat in the lodge parking lot. Bring as many cars as you want, decorate them up and pass out candy to all the little ones that come by. Also on this date we will have our Mandatory Open House that Grand Lodge has implemented. Any of the public wishing to tour the lodge or ask about Masonry will be able to do so on this night. 2 great events at once, it’s going to be thriiiiilling! (cheap play on the season, I know)

October 2015 Reminder!

Hello Brothers,

This is a reminder about this Saturday, October 3rd. First we have our Country Breakfast from 7am-10am. Bring a friend and enjoy some good ol home cooked breakfast.

Also, after the breakfast, from 10am until 7pm we are going to be collecting donations for parking at Monroe Lodge. The Comic-con is happening across the street and they expect 3000 visitors that day. We are offering our lot as over-flow parking for a donation. This will support the Adopt-A-Family this year. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS. If you can spare a few hours to collect a donation from people wanting to park in our lot please let me know. We cant always rely on the “someone will be there” thinking, WE need to be there. Bring a helper along with you, the more the merrier. There is a slight chance for rain, I dont believe it until I see it, but be prepared just in case. We will have coffee and refreshments for those helping throughout the day.
